Our drywall and ceiling services in Toronto

Plaster walls in older houses

Many houses in East York, Leaside, Leslieville and the Annex still have plaster on wood lath. Plaster cracks in long lines and can pull away from the lath behind it. Before patching, we secure the loose areas, so the crack is less likely to return.

Drywall in condos

Condo walls often use steel studs, and many sit against concrete. Patches, anchors and new board need fixings that suit both. Your building’s rules for hours, elevators and hallways shape when we work.

Water damage from the unit above

A leak from upstairs can stain or soften your ceiling. The source has to be fixed first, often by your building or a plumber. Once the area is dry, we cut out damaged board and finish the repair to match.

Cracks that keep coming back

Cracks over doorways and along ceiling seams often return after a quick fill. Older houses settle, and seams move with the seasons. Our repair tapes and reinforces the joint, so it has a better chance of lasting.

Openings left by other trades

Electricians and plumbers often leave holes in walls and ceilings after their work. We close those openings, tape the edges and smooth them for paint. Several openings can share one quote and one visit.

A patch that blends in

Low winter sun through a window shows every ridge in a patch. Each repair gets feathered wide and primed. Your quote also lists repainting the full wall, which often hides a patch best.

Drywall and ceiling questions from Toronto homeowners

Can you repair plaster walls in an older Toronto house?

Yes. Plaster on lath cracks and loosens differently from drywall, so it needs a different repair. We secure loose areas, then patch with materials that suit plaster.

Do you repair drywall in condos?

Yes. Condo walls often have steel studs or concrete behind them, which changes the fixings we use. We plan the work around your building’s hours and elevator bookings.

My ceiling is stained from the unit upstairs. Can you fix it?

Yes, once the leak is fixed and the ceiling has dried. We replace soft or sagging board and seal firm stains with a stain-blocking primer. Then the ceiling gets paint to match.

Will the patch show after painting?

A wide, feathered patch and primer help it blend. Strong side light can still show small differences on older paint. Repainting the whole wall usually hides it best.

Can you patch holes left by an electrician or plumber?

Yes. Send photos of each opening, and we’ll quote them together. We tape, fill and smooth each one, ready for paint.

Do you work in my part of Toronto?

We serve homes across Toronto, from downtown condos to houses in North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke and East York. Tell us your neighbourhood when you send photos.
