Window and screen repairs we handle
A torn screen or a crank that spins in place keeps a window from doing its job.
- Rescreening windows and screen doors, in standard or pet-resistant mesh
- New screen frames
- Casement crank and operator replacement
- Latches, locks and balances on hung windows
- Sliding window rollers
- Rotted wood frames and sills, then caulking
Glass and foggy sealed units aren’t part of this work, since a glazier handles those.
Cranks and operators
A casement crank that spins without moving the window usually has stripped gears. A replacement operator sized to your window fixes it, often in one visit.
Rescreening
We replace torn or sagging mesh in your existing frame, or make a new frame when the old one is bent. Pet-resistant mesh stands up better to claws and paws.
Rotted frames and sills
Soft wood at the bottom of a frame or sill lets water in. After cutting out the rot, we repair the wood and caulk the joints so it’s ready for paint.
A frame that has rotted through may need a new window, which is a different trade.

What changes the price
- Number of windows and screens
- Mesh type
- Crank, latch or roller parts
- Rotted wood repairs
The number of windows and screens, the mesh and the parts shape your quote. Wood repairs appear as their own line.
Your quote lists every item before work starts.

- Before ordering parts, we check the make and size of your window.
- At the end, you can open, close and lock each window with us.

Your questions, answered
Can you fix a window that won’t open or close?
Often, yes. Stripped cranks, broken latches and worn balances are the usual causes, and each has a replacement part. We check the window and tell you what it needs.
Do you replace foggy glass?
No. Foggy glass means the seal in a sealed unit has failed, and a glazier replaces those. We can still fix the screen, crank and latches on the same window.
Can you rescreen my windows on site?
Yes. We replace the mesh in your existing screen frames, and make new frames where the old ones are bent. Standard and pet-resistant mesh are both options.
Can you fix a sliding window that sticks?
Usually. Worn rollers and dirty tracks cause most sticking sliders. New rollers and a clean track let it glide again.
